MACS Governance Statement

Our Lady of Perpetual Help is a school which operates with the consent of the Catholic Archbishop of Melbourne and is operated and governed by Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools Ltd (MACS).

MACS governs and operates Catholic schools in the Archdiocese to continue the mission of Catholic education to proclaim the Good News and equip our young people with the knowledge, skills, and hope to live meaningful lives and enrich the world around them.

Because the good work of educating the young is a co-responsible task led by every member of the Catholic school community, School Advisory Councils have been established to provide a crucial point of connection between the wider school community and school leaders. This governance model was designed to ease the administrative burden on our schools and parishes, allow parish priests to focus on the mission of education in the parish, enable greater collaboration between schools and ensure greater consistency in school policies and procedures.

Education Support - Senior Level

I love working with the staff and students at Our Lady's School, we are all very dedicated and really enjoy working with our special students. The students are very respectful towards each other and it’s so rewarding watching the students achieve their learning goals.

I love seeing the students using their own initiative when presenting their ideas. I love seeing their enthusiasm.
Outside of school I love to spend time with my family and play team sports with them. I love playing instruments and going to different places.

I have been in education support now for 4 years and really love my job. I am now lucky to be part of the staff at Our Lady’s School. I feel very much at home here and love working alongside the Prep Team to help the Prep students feel comfortable and proud of their accomplishments.

Our Lady's has been part of my life for many years. I came here as a student a long time ago, my daughter came here and I have been working as an Education Support Officer for the past 8 years.

It's great working with the staff and engaging with the students, and seeing the developments they make throughout the year.
